Formed in 1979, it soon became ACERT carries a sense of multi-disciplinary action, in terms of artistic fields, basing its creative aspect in the nucleus that gave rise to: WHEAT CLEAN ACERT theater.
This singularity (a theater group in the genesis of an association), characterizes the dynamics of ACERT, decisively influencing its evolution: the growth of a transversal project, in terms of promoting shows, training and artistic production, supported by a team that to professional theater, ensures its operation in terms of a continuous project management program permanent.
So it has remained a cultural structure in an area of the country by which states:
- Incorporate a refreshing artistic practice in a consistently effective community links in order to enhance the educational achievement of circuits different audiences and, above all, lacking in cultural offerings.
- Design art experiences in a wide network of roaming local, regional and national and international favoring the capitalization of experiences and contacts for the implementation and enhancement of the project in terms of artistic experimentation, innovation methodologies and geographical extent of audiences.
- Search handling practices that support the development of the project scope in other geographical areas and attracting urban public that added community interconnection, giving consistency to an insertion site plan, bold in the practices and goals.
- Innovate constantly the means of action (human resources - farmers, technicians, animators - space, equipment, service provision, artistic training and cultural management) to ensure an increase in quality programming, the conditions offered to farmers and therefore the public.
- Keep the level of professional artistic standards, guaranteed by updating training and exchange of experiences, factors necessary to continue a process of balanced growth.
This was the practice that allowed deploying geographically ACERT, projecting it into the cultural life of the country by an identity that drives cross performance art, teaching, bold and effective in the transformation of cultural habits. Please note that the district of Viseu, now an undeniable cultural and supply projection was considered a region with no practices, spaces, or cultural habits. Obviously not consider the unique ACERT protagonist of this change, but it would be nonsense alhearmo us of the important role which it has developed in this transformation.
Thus, it is clear that the line defining the action of ACERT is located in a plan of innovation of artistic practice that promotes the enjoyment and cultural participation. To achieve this goal, the action has been established in strengthening a team as much as possible in the handling of the multidisciplinary tools needed to a schedule:
- Sufficiently provocative in the sense of experimental changes that you want to incite the public that we serve;
- Highly sensible, community responsibility and the heterogeneity of the public who wants to conquer.
It is at the interconnection between the creative daring (as a driver of demand for a public that wants more demanding, critical and formed), and a cultural practice strongly influence and transform the realities surrounding the action of ACERT is guided. Create conditions to win the space of balance between these two practices is the point of identity for a project that takes fully available permanently to rediscover the proper way to match the specific reality of a space, a region and the multiplicity of the public to raise awareness .
